Hurricane Harvey – Texas Announces Disaster SNAP Food Benefits

Texans who receive SNAP benefits will be receiving additional funds onto their SNAP cards. Those in the declared disaster areas will also be able to purchase hot food until the end of September. Hurricane Harvey Disaster Aid Available in 29 Texas Counties

Those who were not able to go into work during Hurricane Harvey, due to the widespread flooding are eligible for assistance through the Texas Workforce Commission. All individuals whose employment or self-employment was impacted should reach out before September 27th, 2017. A total of 29 counties is currently listed as qualified under the current Disaster Declaration. Applications can be submitted online or through the TWC Tele-Center.
